Pat Smith, Family Pastor

Pat grew up in Northeast Ohio. After living a life that wasn’t honoring God, he made Christ his Lord and Savior in 2004 and hasn’t looked back since. One of Pat’s favorite verses comes from 2 Corinthian’s 5:17 which says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” This verse has shown Pat that God can change anyone, no matter what their past looks like.

Pat and his wife Rachel have been married since 2008 and have 6 wonderful children. He has a master’s degree in Pastoral Leadership from HarvestNet Institute and has been ordained. He previously served as a Youth and Associate Pastor for a sister church. He and his wife love working with children and youth, teaching them about Christ, and helping them to build godly character.

Steve Forsythe, Elder

Steve grew up right here in Northeast Ohio.  He was married to his wife, Mary Ann, in 1984.  After years of struggling to do life on his own terms, he followed his wife’s leading and they went to church together.  On March 19, 2006, Steve recognized his need for a savior.  That day he trusted in Christ by repenting of his sin and accepting Jesus as his Lord and Savior.  The following week he publicly professed Christ as Savior by being baptized.  A few years ago he began serving in the local church.  Steve and Mary Ann became a part of the Willoughby Bible Church family in the fall of 2015.

Greg Sanders, Elder

Greg was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in a Christian home and was always involved with church. He trusted in Christ as his savior at a young age, however it wasn’t until a family hardship in 2012 that led him back into a renewed relationship with his Savior and Lord. Greg met his wife, Cathy, and they were married in 1997. He and Cathy have been a part of the Willoughby Bible Church family since 2012 and have faithfully served here since then.
